AGCO Corporation is an American agricultural equipment manufacturer headquartered in Duluth, Georgia, United States.

AGCO was established in 1990 when executives at Deutz-Allis bought out Deutz-Allis North American operations from the parent corporation KHD (Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz), a German company that owned the Deutz-Fahr brand of agriculture equipment. KHD had purchased portions of the Allis-Chalmers agricultural equipment business five years earlier.

An unsatisfied employee shared his thoughts on what he had experienced while working for the company, he posted that" AGCO as a whole does not have good management or leadership. They do not provide career advancement and do not value their current workforce. They will pay younger new individuals more than they pay their current staff and the raises are minuscule and less than the cost of living even.

Another employee had this to share with the public regarding his experience with the company, he opined that " Very high employee turnover. If you do not mind doing four people's work, earning one person's salary, this is the place for you. It takes forever to fill positions when employees leave."

Tell the world why AGCO sucks!

I certify that this review is based on my own experiece and is my opinion of this person or business. I have not been offered any incentive or payment to write this review.

Former Employee - Marketing says

"I worked at AGCO full-time for less than a year Cons: Very "corporate" and old school in their approach to work life balance. The managers watch your time and monitor everything you do. Very much a "butts in seats" mentality. Health Insurance was awful, Rx drugs are counted towards your medical deductible which is $10K. So you have to pay full price for everything and medications, until you reach that $10K deductible."

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I have been working at AGCO full-time for more than 5 years Cons: Project management at the product development level is a joke. Serious disconnect between presales drivers and after sales. Presales (Engineering, manufacturing, and Marketing sacrifice quality to meet ship dates. Then aftersales is stuck with costs for correcting bad design and quality. This behavior is driven from the top down."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I worked at AGCO full-time for more than 8 years Cons: Management is awful does not create a positive work environment. Absolutely no diversity. Position is all busy work and doesn't push you to learn anything new. Penalized over small mistakes very early even though there is no training to speak off. Skills will plateau, outside of JDE you will learn nothing. Job description ask for business and engineering degrees but really none is needed."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I worked at AGCO full-time for less than a year Cons: Management is overworked, overwhelmed, and have no listening skills whatsoever. No one knows the answers to simple questions. You will get turned around in circles for the simplest things. Insurance premiums are ridiculously high. Toxic especially to women and minorities. Way too understaffed. If you report a problem to HR you will be told it is all in your head. Their solution to fixing problems is just saying they don’t have any instead of actually working to change things."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I worked at AGCO full-time for less than a year Cons: 1) Highly matrixed organization with little cooperation from site managers and no support from senior management to get things done. 2) Benefits over the past several years have diminished significantly 3) Ivory tower management never leaves the tower and if you do see them they don't acknowledge the commoners 4) Martin runs the show with complete intolerance toward others 5) Shared services (HR, IT, Accounts payable/receivable, etc.) are all a joke 6) Management continues to cut budgets / people w/o realizing the loss of value in experience (just learning the company structure can take years) 7) I could go on, but it would just get uglier"

I had 4 bosses in 6 months, list all the fringe benefits I was offered before I was even moved to my permanent hiplacement"

I wasn't even out of temporary housing and everything they promised, including the job I was hired to do, was null and void. I watched hundreds of people get let go within the first 90 days of employment. I left an 18 year tenure at a great company for AGCO. In the end, I left within 8 months. "If you are a woman, do NOT work for this company. I have nothing more to say about the matter. There is no promotion from within....and their "woman's networking group" was used to pad the resumes of c-level management - make it look like it was all about women. The first project? Volunteering to help with a food know - instead of teaching women to network we are going to have them do clothing drives and food drives and raise money for the community - sound familiar? Unpaid work?"

Analyst (Former Employee) says

"The department I worked in was a very hostile environment. People enjoyed gossiping and making fun of others rather than focusing on work and resolving issues. People consistently harassed those who wanted to work and learn. They also used others as scapegoats to cover up their own mistakes. Management doesn't reward hard work nor respect seniority. Instead, they allow those who abuse and take advantage of others gets to stay while casting out valuable employees who doesn't follow the crowd."
